Playing very well offensively in the second half, Panathinaikos beat Anadolu Efes at home (83-78). This was the fourth win for the Greens (4-3), whereas the Turks suffered their fourth defeat (3-4).

For the winners, Miroslav Raduljica was tremendous, with 23 points (on 8 of 12 shooting) and eight rebounds, as three more players scored in double figures. For the losing squad, Dario Saric had 18 points and six rebounds, with Thomas Heurtel adding 15 points (on 7 of 11 shooting) and seven assists.

In the beginning, no team could take control of the game (10-10), with the visitors earning a three-point advantage, at the end of the first quarter (17-20).

Later, Anadolu Efes managed to extend their lead to eight points (21-29), however Panathinaikos responded and went on a 15-6 run to end the first half in front by just one point (36-35).

In the second half, the Greens exploded. Playing very well on both ends of the floor, they went on a 14-5 run to take a double-digit advantage (50-40). However, the Turks responded and cut the deficit to five, after 30 minutes in the game (64-59).

In the fourth quarter, Sasa Djordjevic’s players retained their lead (66-64, 71-66), bringing it back to double-digits, with two and a half minutes to go (79-69, 81-71). The visitors, though, tried to make a come-back and were down by five, with 60 seconds to go (81-76). However, the Greeks stood tall and claimed a crucial win at home.
