With Krunoslav Simon bombarding from behind the arc (5/7) Olimpia Armani Milano answered to Venezia’s home-court break in Game 1, by making a roadkill themselves, 88 – 80 and tying the semifinal series 2-2.

The Croatian guard/forward finished the match with 25 points, while captain Alesandro Gentile added 11 and 7 rebounds. Milano greatly outrebounded their hosts, 47 – 26 renewing their attacking efforts 16 (!) times after a missed shot! Quite a lot.

This is another reason why each and every time Venezia appeared seriously threatening, its opponents managed to keep their cool and not lose control of the game.

Once more, Mike Green was the top performer for the Venetians with 13 points and 7 assists, while Mike Bramos led the team in scoring with 14 points.
