With some statements in FB TV, Omer Onan, assistant GM of Fenerbahce, expressed his belief that Jan Vesely will remain a player of the team.
“I have been Jan Vesely for two days now, in Serbia”, he said. “NBA is spending so much money so that’s why I thought he made that comment but i believe that he will stay with us. I saw some other news about him staying in Europe but with different team. That’s not true. He won’t wear another jersey in Europe. We are monitoring his situation with NBA. I believe we will give some good news for Fenerbahce fans. We are on it. Everybody is with their family (because of religious holiday in Turkey) but I’m here and that’s because of a certain reason. I am always talking with Vesely.”
Of course, the ideal scenario for Fenerbahce includes keeping Ekpe Udoh in the roster as well. But Onan recognizes the difficulty in it. “Ekpe Udoh is also waiting to see his NBA options. We are talking with him. But we have some alternatives. We want him to stay but we have some other names in our minds. I hope we will give some good news to our fans in 3-5 days.”
