Fenerbahce may have defeated Cedevita in the “Zadar Dogus” tournament, but Zeljko Obradovic was not without any complaints after the game.

The Serbian coach didn’t like at all the behavior of his young guys on court, stating that “they haven’t understood what it means to play for Fenerbahce.”

“We are having an important preseason tournament. Baris Hersek, Gigi Datome and Pero Antic did not have a chance to play due to injuries. Because of that, we have tried a different system than the one we actually wanted to play with. We had only Jan and Ekpe available for our back court squads. So most of time, we played with “small-ball” lineups. But the important thing was finding minutes for our young players.”

Obradovic then directed his words towards the latter. “Unfortunately, they haven’t understood what it means to play for Fenerbahce. If I give you a chance, you have to be ready to play. I am not happy at all with some of their performances. When they understand what it means to play for Fenerbahce, they will get an extra chance. Otherwise they will remain average players.”
