One day after the game against AEK, Galatasaray was also defeated by Olympiacos in Athens (67-61). The pre-season game was played behind closed doors and the two teams will face each other again on Saturday in a game open to the public.
Despite a 35-20 half time lead and a 52-34 advantage for the hosts, Galatasaray came back in the last quarter and tied the game at 58 with 3 minutes left. However Olympiacos closed the game the right way.
Giorgos Printezis with 17 points was the top scorer of the winners, Erick Green added 10 and Nikola Milutinov contributed 8. For Galatasaray Austin Daye was the top scorer with 13 points, Tibor Pleis had 11 and Russ Smith 9 points.
