A game that was as exciting as anticipated took place between Barcelona and Fenerbahce in Spain with Zeljko Obradovic‘s team beating their opponents to make the 2/2 in Euroleague with a 73 – 72.

Although the game was ultimately decided in the last possession, Fenerbahce could have won it kinda earlier. The guests were ahead 71 – 62 with almost three minutes to go and their fate lied in within their hands. Yet the Blaugrana rallied behind some huge triples, courtesy of Brad Oleson and Tyrese Rice which once again made them threatening.

The match was up for grabs in the final seconds, when Sasa Vezenkov nailed 2/2 from the line for the 73 – 72. Dixon missed on the other end, but when Rice took the shot for the win, he slipped, losing his balance and allowing for a block by Kostas Sloukas. Barcelona players were so disoriented by what transpired that didn’t even manage fouling to stop the clock, as the final buzzer sounded in “Palau Blaugrana”.

Apart from his game-winning defense on Rice, Sloukas also dropped 15 points and dished 4 assists, making his dimes in Euroleague 300+. Bobby Dixon, who spent some time on court on the Greek guard’s side, allowing for much better ball control by Fener, added 15 points of his own.

Tyrese Rice paced Barcelona with 19 points plus 6 assists yet perhaps forced his choice in the attempt to claim the match for his team. Stratos Perperoglou had 14 and Joey Dorsey 12 plus 8 rebounds.
