After getting cut by the Lakers, Auguste moves to Turkey

Greek-American power forward Zach Eli Auguste has a deal for a one-year contract with Turkish club Usak Sportif  according to Eurohoops sources.

Auguste, 23, was heavily examining the possible options to continue his career in Europe, after getting cut by the L.A. Lakers. This was another reason why he began all the necessary procedures of obtaining a Greek passport, since his mother (born Lia Tzimouli) is Greek.

After scanning the market, the former captain of Notre Dame received an offer from Usak Sportif to which he has already agreed. Thus he will begin his professional basketball career overseas.

Apart from Turkey, Usak competes in the FIBA Champions League the third-tier continental competition in Europe, which can provide Auguste further amounts of diverse experience.
