Galatasaray‘s Board Member Mehmet Can Topsakal expressed his point of view on Galatasaray having no wins in Euroleague thus far and his hopes for an improvement later in the season.
“The team is new and hasn’t paid off yet. We haven’t yet received what we want from Smith and Dentmon. The Euroleague is very difficult”, said Topsakal.
Galatasaray won the Eurocup last season with an even less budget ($6 millions), though Topsakal stated the competitiveness of playing in Euroleague: “Other teams have budgets of $25 up to $30 millions, while we are fighting with a $9 millions budget. The team will become better in time.”
