Valencia was tested hard, but in the end got the 75-72 Eurocup win over feisty Union Olimpija Ljubljana on the road.

Thanks to two big shots by Gregor Hrovat the score was tied at 71 with two minutes left as the hosts had a 19-7 partial score in the last quarter in their favor in the 38th minute. Nikola Jovanovic with 1/2 free throws gave a one point lead to Union Olimpija, but Antoine Diot answer was a three (74-72) with just 59 seconds left on the clock. The hosts couldn’t score again and Diot with 1/2 free throws sealed the outcome. On the other hand Devin Oliver missed the last shot, a three that could have send the game to overtime.

Valencia started the game with an impressive 28-16 quarter and despite the reaction of Union Olimpija which trailed just by two at half time (39-37), managed to build again a 12 points lead at the end of the third quarter (64-52). Still everything was decided on details.

Pierre Oriola with 20 points was the leader of the winners, Will Thomas had a double double (11 p. 11 r.) and Diot scored 7 points. Hrovat had 18 points for the hosts and Oliver 12.
