In theory Crvena Zvezda could have given a fight to Fenerbahce, but this wasn’t the case. After a tame first half which ended with a ten point lead (41-31) the hosts dominated the guests for the easy 87-72 win.

The game was decided in the third quarter which started with a 12-5 run for Fenerbahce (53-36) and concluded with a 18 points advantage (68-50). The game was over at this point with Ekpe Udoh having a record night of 15 points. 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks.

Jan Vesely who started the game with a dunk just after the tip off, scored 14 points, Pero Antic added 13, Bobby Dixon had 11 and Kostas Sloukas 10 and also 9 assists.

Marko Simonovic with 14 points and 4/6 threes tried its best but it was far from enough for the Serbs against one of the top title contenders on the road. Zvezda had a 14-9 lead in the 8th minute and that was the best they could do. Fenerbahce was better in everything else, so even the fact that the guests had 12 steals and just 7 turnovers didn’t change much.
