Panathinaikos met Galatasaray at home and prevailed with 85-58. The Greens improved to 5-6 in the league’s standings, while Galatasaray fell to 3-8. The hosts also made their record 3-0 against the Turkish team.

Led by 3 players with 14 points (Nick Calathes, K.C. Rivers and Kenny Gabriel), the hosts managed to be dominant throughout the game. For Galatasaray, Blake Schilb scored 15 points.

Early in the game, Nick Calathes led Xavi’s Pascual’s team, while Galatasaray found several points from Russ Smith. Schilb drilled a 3pointer at the end of the period, making the score 20-13.

The Turkish team pushed harder in defense during the second period, though the Greens controlled the game perfectly. Alex Tuys made it a 2-point game at 13′ (30-28), though the hosts managed to be up 39-31 at halftime.

The third period was desicive for the Greek team and they managed to score 25 points against their opponents, while keeping them at 14. Galatasaray was unable to react and the score was 64-45 after 30 minutes.

The hosts turned the game into showtime in the final quarter, with the deficit rising beyond 30 points, before being eventually trimmed by the visitors to 27 points.
