Milan Macvan dropped 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds while Davide Pascolo added 15 plus 8 rebounds helping Olimpia Milano return to victories by beating Pesaro 88 – 84. This result expanded the Italian League record of Milano to 12-2 while Pesaro now stands at 4-10.

It was a stressful win for the “Red Shoes” even though they entered the last quarter with a double-digit advantage, 75 – 65 and led by six, 83 – 77 with one minute to go. The guests made a comeback that went very close to completion but ultimately lost in the details.

Jarrod Jones’ fantastic match of 29 points and 6 rebounds wasn’t enough for Pesaro. While Olimpia Milano would remain first in the standings regardless of the result, Sassari’s road victory over Venezia increased the defending champs’ distance from the second place.

The team from Sardinia played a well balanced game away from home bettering its record to 7 – 7 while Venezia (10-4) now has company at the second spot since Avellino (10-4) beat Caserta (7-7).

Meanwhile, Capo D’Orlando (8-6) defeated Brindisi (7-7) to clinch a ticket for the Italian Cup’s “Final 8” tournament.
