Real Madrid beat Valencia 80-71 at home and improved to 14-3 in the ACB League standings, still holding the top position. Tenerife follows behind Pablo Laso’s team with a 13-4 record.

Rudy Fernandez led the winners with 14 points, Sergio Llull added 13, Anthony Randolph had 11 and Jaycee Carroll scored 10. For Valencia, Guillem Vives was the only one to score in double digits and finished with 10 points.

While the visiting team was competitive in the first half and even led 38-45 at halftime, a great defense by Real in the third quarter was enough for the hosts to take the upper hand of the game.

Earlier in the day, Baskonia crashed Murcia away from home, while it was day off for Giorgios Bartzokas’ Barcelona.
