Usak Sportif officially announced that it has released American point guard Mark Lyons with the decision being mutually taken by the player and the club.
President Omer Ozden, GM Fatih Han Erdogan and Lyons met and agreed on the termination of the latter’s contract. In its official announcement, the Turkish team thanks the player for his contribution, wishing him success in his future ventures.
The 27-year old point guard had arrived in Usak Sportif on summer after winning the Israeli league with Maccabi Rishon. He averaged 17.2 points, 5.6 assists and 2.4 rebounds in the FIBA Champions League along with 14.8 points plus 6.9 assists in the Turkish Basketball Super League.
