The game last… longer than usual since one of the refs was hit by an item thrown at him.

A clash with a really historic, and not only background, for Greek Basketball took place in Thessaloniki. PAOK hosted Aris for the 16th Week of the Basket League.

It was a match that was decided in the third quarter. PAOK had a double digit lead, but Aris managed to make a strong comeback thanks to its increased efficiency in offense. Jerel McNeal scored 19 points and Dominic Waters had 17 for the winners, while from the losing side, William Hatcher stopped at 16. However the players were not the only protagonists in the match.

With only seconds to go and the game, more or less decided, someone through an item that hit the commissioner. Immediately the game was stopped by the referees for almost 20 minutes… until things got a bit calmer allowing from the last seconds to be played.

PAOK fans’… reaction after a certain call by the refs. in the Greek derby against Aris. One of the refs. was hit by an item and the match had to be stopped for 20 minutes. In the end, Aris won 77 – 69.
