A civil jury cleared New York Knicks‘ Derrick Rose of all claims in a civil sexual assault lawsuit brought against him by a former girlfriend.

As mentioned on the New York Post, the eight jurors, six women and two men, deliberated for three hours and 45 minutes before clearing Rose and two childhood friends of all three sexual battery, battery and trespass claims in a $21.5 million suit.

In a statement, Rose said he’s “thankful” for the verdict:

“It was important to prove I did not do what I was accused of, even if it meant publicly sharing very private details about my personal life,” he said. “I am thankful that the jury understood and agreed with me. This experience and my sensitivity to it was deep. I am ready to put this behind me and focus on my family and career.”

Rose and his two friends, Randall Hampton and Ryan Allen, were accused of breaking into the 30-year-old woman’s apartment and raping her while she was blackout drunk on August 27, 2013.
