Monaco enjoys the sweet solitude of the first place in France after Nanterre, the previously other undefeated team, faced its first loss in this season’s French League.

The Monegasques managed to stay perfect after a very close game against Le Mans in which they reached the final moments with a lead that was safe enough to grant them victory and a 5-0 record.

Meanwhile, Nanterre took a serious swing at home by Chalon/Saone that scored 29 points in the last quarter, while receiving 17 by its hosts. Nanterre and Orthez are now tied at 4-1.

Reigning champs Villeurbanne took their second win of the season, while the downward spiral continued for Strasbourg (1-4), which was downed by Orthez this time.
