For the next two seasons, Luis Casimiro will be the new coach of Gran Canaria, as the Spanish club officially announced.

With an experience of more than 500 games in the Spanish League, Casimiro was chosen to undertake the big responsibility of replacing Aito Garcia Reneses and lead the team from Las Palmas in its Liga Endesa and Eurocup ventures.

The 56-year old coach’s crowning achievement so far in his career, was in 1998, when he won the championship title with Manresa. During the last season, he succeeded in helping Sevilla avoid relegation.
