The next season for Giannis’ younger brother will be his first as a pro, no matter if this happens in the NBA or back in Europe.

Speaking to the Greek radio station “Sport FM”, Antetokounmpo’s agent, Giorgos Panou, who is also the representative of Giannis, explained the decision taken by Kostas: “We have a tool saying that a kid participating in the NCAA has the right to enter the NBA draft and until the 17th of June, a week before the draft, can withdraw and return to his studies. This is the path taken by Kostas, except that he does not intend to return to college. His second choice will be a professional contract with a team. It was a decision made by his family. It was a matter of development, which environment would help him develop his abilities better. He stayed two years in Dayton and we saw things, we compared, we talked … We found that this situation could not offer him anything else.  Either he will find a team in the draft which will seriously deal with him and believe in his prospect, or he will go to a professional league where a team will give him time and conditions to develop his talent”.

Asked if the Greek powerhouses Olympiacos and Panathinaikos have already developed an interest in Kostas Antetokounmpo, Panou stated that so far no move has been made.
