Despite suffering seven consecutive EuroLeague defeats, including some historically tough ones, like against Olympiacos just couple of days ago, Partizan is thriving in the regional competition.
Joan Penarroya’s squad extended its winning streak to eight games with a convincing 103-81 road victory over Igokea.
Partizan knocked down 16 three-pointers despite missing several key players, including long-time absentee Carlik Jones, Shake Milton, Jabari Parker, Sterling Brown, and newly signed Tonye Jekiri and Cameron Payne. The latter two were unavailable due to ABA League regulations, which prevent players who were not registered at the time the original match was scheduled from participating in rescheduled games. This Igokea clash was a postponed Round 7 match.
In their absence, Duane Washington led the way with 20 points and six assists, while Isaac Bonga added 14 points, nine rebounds, and five assists to post a game-high PIR of 28. Bruno Fernando contributed 15 points, Aleksej Pokusevski had 13, Vanja Marinković scored 12, and Dylan Osetkowski added 10.
For the hosts, Strahinja Gavrilović led with 16 points, followed by Dragan Milošavljević with 12.
