Unicaja Malaga returns to Cup Final after 11 years

Unicaja Malaga will play in the Spanish Copa del Rey Final for the first time since 1999. The Andalusian side crushed Morabanc Andorra 92 – 59 in the second of the two semifinal matches and will face Real Madrid in the championship game Sunday (16/2).

Jaime Fernandez scored a game-high 19 points and dished out four assists for Malaga. The Spanish guard made 15 of his points in the first half to push his team towards taking a 48 – 30 lead at the break. Andorra made an attempt to recover in the third period but its opponents overwhelmed them down the stretch to turn the game into a blowout.

Clevin finished with 16 points and Frantz Massenat dropped 10 points for Andorra.

Apart from Fernandez, Melvin Ejim had 15 points and Josh Adams 14 points plus this highlight.
