Barcelona beats Malaga for the two out of two

Barcelona grabbed its second win in two games of the Spanish ACB League’s final phase by defeating Unicaja Malaga 84 – 73. The Blaugrana dominated the second half 46 – 30 after falling behind 38  -41 at the break to get the victory.

Nikola Mirotic scored a game-high 19 points on 7-12 shots while Ante Tomic posted 17 points and seven rebounds for Barcelona. Adam Hanga added 11 points, four rebounds plus four assists and Kyle Kuric scored 10.

Kuric was also the one to hand Barca its first double-digit lead when he drained a triple for the 69 – 58 with eight minutes to play, capping a 6-0 run. His team wasn’t seriously threatened in the remainder of the game and even went up 79 – 63.

Malaga had grabbed a nine-point lead early in the game and was ahead at the beginning of the second half before Barcelona began taking over after the mid of the third period. Adam Waczynski (13 points) and Deon Thompson (12 points) scored in double figures for the Andalusian side that is now 1-1.
