Joventut defeated ACB leaders Tenerife

In another game that shows the true strength of the Spanish ACB League, Club Joventut Badalona beat Lenovo Tenerife 78-69 in Round 11.

Carles Duran’s team grabbed their seventh win (7-4) thanks to a strong fourth quarter from Andres Feliz. The Dominican player finished the game as a top scorer of the Badalona team with 17 points.

Pau Ribas followed him with 13 points, while Kyle Guy added 12, and Henry Ellenson scored 11 points, with seven rebounds.

Tenerife only got two players in double-digits, with Elgin Cook scoring 12, and Bruno Fitipaldo 10 points.

The guest were leading throughout three quarters and got an 11-point advantage at the start of the final period, but with help from Feliz, Joventut had a strong response. With a 17-3 run they turned the score around, and in the final moments with 11 straight points gave the leaders of ACB their second defeat (9-2).

Three more games were played today, as Unicaja dominated against Fuenlabrada at Fernando Martin hall – 117-85.

David Kravish and Tyson Carter destroyed the host scoring 25 and 21 points and helped the team from Malaga improve their winning streak to eight games.

Murcia defeated Real Betis 76-72 as Nikola Radovic scored 20 points. The team from Sevilla couldn’t materialize another great game from Shannon Evans who got a double-double with 27 points and 10 assists.

At the end of the day, Zaragoza got a 73-57 win against Granada, with Santi Yusta scoring 21 points, with seven rebounds.
