Unicaja Malaga pulled off quite the upset in Game 2 of the Spanish ACB League Finals by beating Barcelona 88 – 79 on the road to tie the best-of-five series at 1-1 and steal homecourt advantage.

Tyson Carter scored 12 out of his game-high 19 points in the first half to lift Malaga toward a 37 – 40 halftime lead. Barcelona took the advantage only to lose it again at the end of the third period as Kendrick Perry scored for the 57 – 63.

Not only did Malaga retain its lead but kept pushing to build a double-digit margin. Dejan Kravish took over with 10 out of his 13 points in the final period as his team went up even 17 points down the stretch before Barcelona trimmed that deficit a bit in the last minutes.

Kravish also grabbed nine rebounds while Perry had 13 points plus five assists. Nicolas Laprovittola (19 points), Nikola Kalinic (14 points) and Kyle Kuric (13 points) stood out from Barca while star Nikola Mirotic had a struggling night of 1-9 shots and six points.

Game 3 takes place in Malaga Sunday (11/6).
