Going up to 19-3 in Spain’s Liga Endesa, Real Madrid rallied past Rio Breogan.

Digging their way out of a 12-point hole after the break, Los Blancos edged out the Lugo outfit, 80-73, on Sunday.

Combining for 22 points in the fourth period, Facundo Campazzo, Walter Tavares, and Mario Hezonja powered the latest winning display for head coach Chus Mateo. Tucking in five of eight team triples, Sergio Llull registered a team-high 17 points. Campazzo followed with 16 points and Tavares added 13 points. Rudy Fernandez and Sergio Rodriguez were sidelined.

Necessary defensive stops extended to holding Ben McLemore to two points over the final ten minutes. The experienced guard, veteran of 571 NBA appearances, finished with a game-high 21 points. Jordan Sakho had 13 points. At 6-16, Breogan will attempt to avoid relegation following a midseason break.

Elsewhere in Round 22 of the ACB Regular Season, Surne Bilbao routed Valencia, 93-78. Up next for the Taronges is Dreamland Gran Canaria in the Quarterfinals of Copa del Rey on Thursday. On the same day in Malaga, Madrid faces UCAM Murcia.

Baskonia experienced their second consecutive and 10th overall defeat in the ACB League, succumbing to a home loss against Joventut with a final score of 78-81 at the Fernando Buesa Arena.

Andres Feliz nearly achieved a triple-double with an impressive performance, contributing 27 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists for the victorious side. Ante Tomic added 15 points along with nine boards.

Despite Markus Howard’s 22 points, shooting 4-13 from beyond the arc for Dusko Ivanovic’s team, Baskonia couldn’t secure the win. Chima Monee was on the verge of a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.

BAXI Manresa gave a good fight to Barcelona in front of their fans, but couldn’t contain Roger Grimau’s side in the end, as the Catalans won 77-87.

Jabari Parker ended up being the top scorer of the winning side with 16 points, Tomas Satoransky added 15, while Dario Brizuela and Willy Hernangomez scored 12 points each, with former NBA center grabbing nine boards. Joel Parra also finished the match in double digits with 10 points.
