After mishandling a double-digit lead in Santiago Martin Arena, Real Madrid got the job done, 71-70, against La Laguna Tenerife, and went up to 8-1 in the 2025-26 Liga Endesa Regular Season.

Resuming action following the FIBA window with FIBA World Cup 2027 Qualifiers, the team based in the Spanish capital recorded a sixth straight win across all competitions with 38-year-old Sergio Llull beating the buzzer with a midrange jumper off the backboard to save the day once more.

At the wrong end of his latest crazy game-winner, Tenerife was reduced to 6-3, despite storming back and finally regaining the lead with only 2.9 seconds on the clock.

Following a game-high 17 points by teammate Mario Hezonja, Llull finished with 11 points, Wesley Van Beck banked in a team-high 15 points for the hosts. For the team coached by Txus Vidorreta, Joan Sastre and Marcelinho Huertas were ruled out for the Round 9 affair, with Alberto Abalde, Izan Almansa, and Trey Lyles out for Sergio Scariolo’s side.

With Ricky Rubio leading the way behind a game-high 20 points, Joventut Badalona rallied from a double-digit deficit in the second half to defeat BAXI Manresa, 83-79, in early Sunday action at Pavello Olimpic. A fourth straight win between the ACB and Basketball Champions League Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL.
