Real Madrid will be at the top of the standings for another round.
Sergio Scariolo’s team had no problem defeating Bàsquet Girona 112-76 to jump to a 9-1 record. The Catalan team is now 4-6.
Trey Lyles (16 points), David Kramer (13 p.) and Gabriele Procida (15 p.) were the home team’s top scorers. Preparing for next week’s double round, Edy Tavares and Mario Hezonja rested.
Only Nikola Maric (12 p.), Derek Needham and Otis Livingston (10 points each) had scoring double digits for the away team.
Despite a somehow close first half (59-49), the game was always in control of Real Madrid. A great start of the second half extended the lead to +25 (82–57), basically making the last ten minutes of game a mere formality.
To finish the round, Barça had a very easy win against BAXI Mannresa, led by Darío Brizuela’s 22-point performance.
