What a finish in Burgos!
The clash between San Pablo Burgos and Barcelona went down to the wire, with the Catalan side eventually escaping with a narrow 79–80 road victory.
The hosts took control with a 7–0 run entering the final three minutes, but Joel Parra tied the score at 75–75. Laprovittola then knocked down a three-pointer to put Barça ahead, but Yannick Nzosa and Raul Neto responded, giving Burgos a 79–78 lead with 22 seconds left.
On the next Barcelona possession, Laprovittola took responsibility and hit a go-ahead two-pointer to make it 80–79 with six seconds remaining. Former Barça point guard Neto had a chance to win it at the buzzer but missed, allowing Xavi Pascual’s side to hold on.
Laprovittola was Barcelona’s standout performer, finishing with 23 points and seven assists. Willy Hernangómez added 14 points and eight rebounds, while Miles Norris and Joel Parra chipped in nine points each.
For Burgos, Jermain Samuels led the way with 23 points and five rebounds, Ethan Happ scored 15, and Leo Meindl added 11. Neto finished with nine points and five assists, delivering five points in the final stretch.
