Real Madrid dominates Granada to stay on top, Valencia loses on the road

Joventut shocks Valencia at home, BAXI Manresa gets the win on the road, and Real Madrid easily beats Granada to stay on top in the ACB Round 19 games of Sunday.

Real Madrid comfortably beat Covirán Granada (94-79) at home to further solidify their lead in the ACB. Scariolo’s team is now 17-2 in the standings, staying at the top.

David Krämer (22 p.) and Trey Lyles (15 p.) led the effort in the second half to secure the win at home. In Granada, Bozic had 19 points with a perfect 15/15 from the free throw line.

Baskonia wins in Gran Canaria in the postponed game from round 10 of the ACB (75-97) and will be seeded in the Cup. They will face La Laguna Tenerife instead of Barça, who will fight in the first round against UCAM Murcia.

Luwawu-Cabarrot (23 p.) and Markus Howard (17 p.) dominated Lakovic’s team.

Barça returned to winning ways in the Liga Endesa with a hard-fought victory against Bàsquet Girona (97-92) in a game they had under control, but failed to close out in the final minutes. Will Clyburn (21) and Darío Brizuela (19) led the Blaugrana.

Before that, Valencia couldn’t get the win on the road (90-87) against Joventut. Pedro Martinez’s team lost in the final seconds against its future rival in the Spanish Cup. They’re now 14-5, behind Real Madrid.

Ricky Rubio scored 14 points and added 9 assists. Cameron Hunt scored 16 in the victory. In Valencia, Jean Montero was the top scorer with 15 points.

BAXI Manresa secured the catalonian derby in Lleida (90-99). The Eurocup team got the job done on the second half despite James Batemon’s great performance (33 points and 5/10 from beyond the arc).
