Real Madrid completes a brilliant comeback to defeat Unicaja Málaga

Unicaja Málaga and Real Madrid will open the Copa del Rey, and today they played a league game that made it more than clear that their upcoming matchup in Valencia will be spectacular.

Los Blancos secured a 92–96 win at the Martín Carpena after completing an impressive comeback. Even though they were 17 points behind at halftime (56–39), Scariolo’s side earned their sixth consecutive victory in the competition.

Mario Hezonja, with 26 points, was the standout player of the game.

Emir Sulejmanovic led the home team with 18 points, but his performance was overshadowed by two crucial missed free throws in the final minute.

Sunday was a perfect day for the EuroLeague teams, as Baskonia defeated Bilbao (69–76) and Barça did the same against Manresa (97–60).
