UCAM Murcia has confirmed a significant loss at the most crucial moment of the season. American point guard David DeJulius has suffered a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot, an injury that will require surgery and keep him off the court for the next few months.
According to the Murcia club, medical tests performed in recent hours determined the exact extent of the injury, which will require surgery scheduled for next week. Following the operation, the player will begin a recovery process estimated to take approximately three months.
This news is a major setback for UCAM Murcia, who lose one of their most important players just before the third and final game of the series against Barça.
Saturday’s game will also be played with Howard Sant-Roos’ participation uncertain until the last minute, as he already missed Thursday’s game at the Palau Blaugrana.
