After dominating the second half, the players of coach Martinez got the 76-67 win without any real reaction by Barcelona. The partial score of the third period was 30-13 for Valencia and that was the point in which the game was decided.

Fernando San Emeterio with 16 points led a balanced effort, while Ante Tomic with 17 points and 15 rebound had a great game for Barcelona. Still it was not enough against a well organized unit which managed to get big defensive stops in the third quarter.

The difference in energy and effort was obvious between the two opponents specially at the end of the game. It has to be noted that Barcelona played without Stratos Perperoglou who was hurt in the ankle before the game and Brad Oleson was dressed, but not used, as he also returned from injury.
