A new war is just breaking in the basketball world, as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Baskonia and Unicaja might withdraw from the ACB league next season.

The four Spanish teams that will play the Euroleague next season left the working meeting about the 2017-18 calendar threatening to withdraw from the League, according to El Pais Deportes.

The main reason behind this unprecedented move is the calendar of the games, as well as the teams’ wish for the league’s teams to be reduced to 16, which is influenced by Euroleague’s new policy that was enforced this season.

This brings 4 teams against 13, as a new schism in European basketball is taking form.
