Anthony Randolph scored 9 out of his 26 points in the fourth quarter as Real Madrid overcame Bilbao 87 – 80 on the road for Week 2 of the Spanish League.

The 26 points is a record for the American forward/center (also 9 rebounds) with the jersey of the “Blancos” and it arrived in a timely manner.

Bilbao was tough enough to lead 68 – 64 early in the fourth period but Randolph and co (Luka Doncic 13 points, 6 rebounds) reacted with a 0 – 13 run that put them ahead for good.

The host snapped out of their slumber but it was too late. When Alex Mumbru went 0/2 from the line with 1:26 remaining and on the other end, Gustavo Ayon scored the lay-up that made it 76 – 85, the result was more or less sealed in Real’s favor.

Dejan Todorovic scored 15, Lucio Redivo 14 and Axel Hervelle posted 13 points plus 6 rebounds for the Basques.

Facu Campazzo 11 points, 5 assists plus an important steal down the stretch for the 76 – 83.
