Gran Canaria announced that Swedish wing Marcus Eriksson has exercised the opt-out clause in his contract to be released from the club.
Eriksson, 25, played 91 games overall in EuroLeague, EuroCup, and the Spanish ACB League during his two-season stint with Gran Canaria.
In the 2018-2019 EuroLeague, Eriksson averaged 10.4 points in 18;38 minutes over 29 games. He shot 41.5% on 5.6 3-point attempts per game.
Eriksson’s NBA rights belong to the Atlanta Hawks. They selected him with the 50th overall pick in 2015.
