Valencia Basket held off Monbus Obradoiro and logged an 86-76 home win on Day 11 of the Spanish League. Valencia improved to 5-6 compared to Obradoiro’s 4-7 record.
Jordan Loyd led the way with 16 points followed by Maurice Ndour’s 13 and Alberto Abalde’s 12 points.
For Obradoiro, Dejan Kravic notched a double-double with 21 points and 15 rebounds while Earl Calloway added 15 and Fletcher Magee ten points.
Obradoiro had a slight upper hand early on and was ahead 22-21 after the first quarter while Valencia went to the halftime break with a 39-37 lead.
They increased the lead to 60-53 in front of the final period and although it was a tie (67-67) midway through the fourth quarter, the hosts made a 12-4 run which pushed them to victory.
