Although it initially looked like the first case of a player wearing a face mask for protection from coronavirus during a game, as it turns out, it was, in fact, the club’s solution to protect a player who recently had his nose broken. Not exactly a Mueller face guard, is it now…

The 23-year-old Iowa State alumni in Michael Jacobson was the one taking extra precautions for the Ukrainian League match against Dnipro and wore a face mask throughout his 20 minutes on the floor.

His squad came out victorious by one point (76-75) while Jacobson logged eight points, nine rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block.
