Following Lietuvos Rytas’ president racist remarks about foreign players of the team earlier in the week, Lithuanian NBA star Donatas Motiejunas released a statement concerning the even on his twitter.
“Many friends ask me about that [the incident]”, he says. “I answer that we’re strictly against racism and I condemn suchs words”.
His criticism on Gedvydas Vainauskas is strong worded: “I feel ashamed for words said by him. I don’t understand how people like him can run a basketball team”.
