With five players in double figures Bayern Munich defeated Syntainics MBC 78 – 60 to open the German League quarterfinal series between the two sides.

In the other quarterfinal game held Saturday, NBA Draft prospect Noa Essengue dropped 21 points to lead Ratiopharm Ulm past ALBA Berlin 94 – 83 at home.
Justinian Jessup contributed 14 points to Ulm’s win. Malte Delow had 16 points for ALBA.
