Bayern and Ulm qualified to BBL semis, ALBA’s season ended

Bayern Munich and Ulm became the first two teams to qualify for the German BBL playoffs, after qualifying with 3-0 wins over Syntainics MBC and ALBA Berlin, respectively.

Bayern prevailed 80-69 in Game 3 with Captain Vladimir Lucic scoring 19 points and then announcing the extension of his contract.

Ulm beat ALBA 93-84 with Marcio Santos scoring 23 points and ending a disappointing season, plagued with injuries for the Berliners.

Bayern will play in the semifinals with the winner of the series between Heidelberg and Chemnitz, which is already 2-0 in favor of Heidelberg, and Ulm is waiting for the winner of the series between Braunschweig and Wuerzburg (1-1).
