Defending German champions Bayern Munich suffered a setback in Game 2 of the BBL Finals, as ALBA Berlin leveled the series at 1-1.
However, Svetislav Pesic’s side responded immediately, defeating ALBA on the road 91-83 to reclaim a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five Finals series.
The game remained close until the fourth quarter, when Bayern put together a decisive 9-2 run to open an 80-73 advantage. ALBA was unable to recover, allowing the visitors to move within one win of another German championship.
Neno Dimitrijevic led the winners with 19 points and seven assists, while Vladimir Lucic and Andreas Obst added 14 points apiece. Isiaha Mike also reached double figures with 10 points.
For ALBA, Jack Kayil scored 17 points, while Justin Bean added 11 and Malte Delow finished with 10.
Game 4 in Berlin is scheduled for June 19.
