As Eurohoops reported three days ago, Davis Bertans was near a deal with Baskonia and now there’s an official announcement by the team. A three years contract was signed by the former Partizan player who will stay in Euroleague after a season during which he had many injury woes. His next step may be the NBA, as he is drafted by the Spurs, and his contract includes an affordable NBA out.
In Italy, EA7 Milano confirmed its commitment to coach Luca Banchi and to captain Alessando Gentile. The contract of the player was extended until the summer of 2017 and the coach is locked until the summer of 2016, as the Italian champions are keeping two key parts in their building process in order to create a team capable of winning Euroleague. Gentile was drafted this year by Houston, however he is not exected to make the jump to the NBA any time soon.
In Eurocup, Besiktas announced the signing of 35 years old Kerem Tunceri, one of the most important Turkish players of recent years, who had also played for the team back in the 2005-06 season.
