Almost ten days after our initial report about Linas Kleiza and EA7 Milano, the deal is almost sealed and only details are left to be fixed in order for an announcement to be made. Kleiza has a accepted the personal challenge to be part of coach Banchi system and show what he is really capable to do on the court.
Τhat’s why he is signing a one year deal with the Italian champions with a lower salary than his previews contract with Fenerbahce/ Ulker but according to sources close to the negotiations not as low as it was reported by Italian media. After all, despite the mediocre – by his standards – season in Euroleague, Kleiza was one of the key players in the Lithuanian national team which was last year’s finalist in Eurobasket 2013. However this year Kleiza is not included in the team for the upcoming FIBA World Cup in order to be better prepared for next season.
UPDATE: On Monday 21/7 Emporio Milano announced the transfer of Linas Kleiza for the next season.
