Dennis Schroeder was once again the leader of Germany as his team got the win (75-68) against Czech Republic. Lithuania was more balanced vs Finland and also got the “W” (78-71).
Germany played once again without Nowitzki, but the other NBAer, Dennis Schroeder shined with 18 points and 8 assists. Heiko Schaffartzik added 13 points and the big guys (Maik Zirbes 14 p, 10 rebs & Tibor Pleiss 10 p, 6 rebs) made also the difference. Among the Czechs only Hruban (19p) and Satoranski (12p) were double digits.
In the other Saturday game Jonas Kazlauskas extended his rotation, so that every player of Lithuania played 10-24 minutes with Jankunas being the only scorer in double digits (11p). Finland fought hard but Koponen was almost alone (21 points, 10 assists).
