After signing his contract for next season with Red Star, Gal Mekel had a big night with 16 points on 7/9 FG as Israel got the easy 74-56 win over Estonia.
Mekel had also the support of Lior Eliyahu (14 p., 9 r.) and Omri Casspi (13 p., 9 r.) as Israel started the game with a 23-14 first quarter and never looked back. Sim-Sander Vene with 10 points was the only player of Estonia who scored in double digits in the second game of the second day in Zagreb’s preparation tournament.
