The final round of the EuroBasket will be held in Lille, where the 16 teams that qualified to the knockout games have already relocated. But have you seen the arena in which the games are going to take place?

France has mobilized Lille’s football stadium, which has a capacity for 50.000 spectators, but for the needs of the EuroBasket has closed the roof, raised and transported half of the pitch of the soccer stadium, added some more stands, and transformed it into Europe biggest arena with room for 27.000 fans!

This sophisticated stadium was built in 2012, cost 282 million euros and aside from Lille’s football team, it is often used as a closed space for concerts, shows, etc.

Check out the transformation from football field into the arena that will host the knockout games of the EuroBasket.
