Nikola Jokic highlights Serbia’s preliminary roster for 2022 EuroBasket

The Serbian national team is preparing for the August FIBA World Cup qualifiers and the September EuroBasket and head coach Svetislav Pesic announced Tuesday his preliminary selection for both events.

Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic leads Pesic’s 22-man squad, while he will also be joined by NBA champion Nemanja Bjelica, as well as Filip Petrusev, Aleksej Pokusevski and Nikola Jovic.

Serbia plays against Greece at home on August 25 and then faces Turkey on the road on August 28 for the tip-off of the second round of the FIBA World Cup qualifiers.

The nation will then be called to face the Netherlands, Finland, Poland and the Czech Republic in Group D of the group stage at EuroBasket.

Svetislav Pesic’s 22-man selection includes:

Aleksa Avramovic, Nemanja Bjelica, Dejan Davidovac, Ognjen Dobric, Marko Guduric, Marko Jagodic-Kuriza, Ognjen Jaramaz, Nikola Jokic, Nikola Jovic, Nikola Kalinic, Balsa Koprivica, Vladimir Lucic, Vanja Marinkovic, Vasilije Micic , Nikola Milutinov, Nemanja Nedovic, Aleksej Pokusevski, Filip Petrusev, Dusan Ristić, Borisa Simanić, Alen Smailagic and Milos Teodosic.
