Kendrick Perry on Montenegro: “This is a resilient group”

Tbilisi, Georgia – Kendrick Perry and Montenegro are flying. Not only Perry has made a habit to dunk on the opponents in the Eurobasket, but also his team with a 2-1 record is currently on the top of the standings in Group A.

“This is a resilient group”, said Perry to Eurohoops. “Whether we are facing adversity and things are not going our way, we are going to try and find a way to win the game. We could have held our heads down after the Turkey game, but we know there’s more basketball to be played. Every game is an opportunity for us and it’s up to us to go out here and make the most of it”.

So can Montenegro be a Eurobasket dark horse? “I think we still have to build, and also build our reputation but the main thing is that we are not going to back down to anybody. Whether we are a dark horse, or not, that’s for us to decide. The only thing we can control is our effort and our attitude”.

Here’s what Perry said about his team, the low attendance in Tbilisi and also about his experience with Panathinaikos in Greece and his ambitions for the upcoming season with Unicaja Malaga.
