Mostly in cruise control, Serbia settled at the 89-78 victory over Israel Tuesday evening.

Nikola Jokic was unstoppable once more at Prague’s O2 Arena. His best showing in 2022 EuroBasket so far was highlighted by a 29-point, 11-rebound double-double. The Joker added five assists, four steals, and two blocks before fouling out late in the fourth quarter. Lasting 30 minutes, his efforts amounted to a crazy efficiency rating of 46.

From the back-to-back NBA season MVP to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four MVP of the last two seasons and 2021 season MVP, Vasilije Micic chipped in 19 more points. Nikola Kalinic and Ognjen Jaramaz threw in ten points each.

Boston Celtics overseas stash Yam Madar produced a team-high 20 points against Serbia. Second in the scoring list was Deni Avdija of the Washington Wizards with 14 points to go along with six rebounds and five assists.

The team coached by experienced tactician Svetislav Pesic ruled out both Nikola Milutinov and Vanja Marinkovic for yet another game. But indeed went up to 4-0 and can secure the top seed in Group D with a win against Poland in the last Gameday of the round-robin schedule Thursday.

As for the team coached by Guy Goodes, playing catchup for nearly the entire 40 minutes, failed to present a serious threat to Serbia. Falling to 2-2 and a tie with Finland, Israel will face group host Czech Republic aiming to make it through the group stage on the last day of preliminary-round action.
