Berlin, Germany – Traditionally the Eurobasket hosts are proving to be in most cases strong medal contenders. “It’s great for us to have family and friends in the stands”, admitted Daniel Theis, one of the standouts of a German national team, which seems to be the best version of the roster since Dirk Nowitzki’s days.

After beating Montenegro in the Round of 16, the Germans are bracing for one of the biggest test of the competition, mainly the challenge of facing Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Greece in the quartefinals.

But Theis, isn’t on a hurry to get ready for the Greek Freak, waiting the match up against the Czech Republic: “Οbviously Greece is the favorite against the Czech Republic but it’s do or die game. So they have to beat them first and then we play Greece on Tuesday”.
